Product Safety: No PFAS in Our Products

PFAS, or Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances, are human-made chemicals known for their resistance to heat, water, and oil. These substances have been used in various industrial and consumer products since the 1940s, including non-stick cookware, food packaging, water-resistant clothing, and firefighting foams. Given the water-repellent nature of certain period underwear products, we began testing for organic fluorine (the "F" in PFAS) to ensure safety and compliance.

Our Sourcing Protocols for Leakproof Products: Sustainable Sourcing

Supplier Guarantees: We require our suppliers to guarantee that the products and materials they supply to us do not contain added PFAS. They must also conduct their own quality control testing for PFAS and fluorine.

Continuous Improvement: Our commitment doesn’t end at sourcing. We purpose to start carefully monitor and reassess our products and processes to ensure they remain free of harmful substances. This ongoing vigilance will helps us maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.

Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI): The BSCI code of conduct advocates for the protection of social rights across all supply chains, regardless of size, sector, or industry. It includes the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining, fair and equal pay, health and safety of workers, protection for young employees, prohibition of debt bondage, encouragement of ethical business practices, non-discrimination, conventional working hours, avoidance of child labor, and environmental protection.

FDA Approval: FDA approval means that the Food and Drug Administration has determined that the benefits of a product outweigh the known risks for its intended use.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100: This label certifies that textiles have been tested for harmful substances, setting the benchmark for textile safety from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label has passed rigorous safety tests for the presence of harmful substances.
